COVID-19 Update

At Mount's Pharmacy we remain committed to providing you with exceptional care, professional service and expert advice.

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, our thoughts are with everyone navigating this challenging time, and wanted to keep you informed of the additional health and safety measures we are taking to ensure we can keep our team and community safe.

As a proud local community business, we are dedicated to doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 as we continue to service and provide care for you and our local community.

Increased hygiene in store

Our pharmacy team already follow rigorous daily hygiene and cleaning processes. As part of our process to keep you safe and slow the spread of COVID-19, we have put in place some additional steps to help protect you and our team.

These processes include frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high use areas within the pharmacy such as registers and dispensary, removal of product testers, increased frequency of hand sanitising and hand washing, compulsory mask coverings and reduction in seating throughout the pharmacy.

You might also notice that our layout and flow of the pharmacy has changed slightly, this is to ensure appropriate social distancing can be accomplished. In addition, we have provided hand sanitiser at every entrance and exit of the pharmacy to ensure good hand hygiene practices and to protect both yourself and our team.

Pharmacy services

Our Pharmacy team will continue to provide professional advice and essential services. This includes Influenza vaccinations and lice hair treatment.  Bookings are available over the phone and in-store. We ask that you attend any appointments by yourself, however, if the patient is a child, under the age of 18 or a person in your care, you may accompany them to their appointment, however, we may request that you remain outside the room.

In the short term, we will cease non-essential services, such as in store beauty services for your protection.

Prescriptions and health products

We are working closely with our suppliers to meet the increased demand for prescription medications and pharmacy goods but may experience shortages. We apologise for any inconvenience and will continue to work with our suppliers to ensure you are able to access any medications or products that you may require. Please feel free to talk to any of our friendly team members for any questions you might have.

To reduce your waiting time in store, we recommend that you order your prescriptions in advance by:

  • Downloading the MedAdvisor App to order your prescription medications on your smartphone, tablet or PC.  Our friendly team members are more than happy to assist in setting this up if you don’t already have the app.
  • Phoning ahead. If you keep your prescriptions with us, call us on (03) 9497 4391 and we can organise to refill your prescription and have this ready to be collected by you.
  • If there are any issues regarding supply and availability of your prescription medications a team member will be in touch.

We thank you for your patience and support in this unprecedented time and as always, please reach out to any of our team members for expert advice for any of your health care needs.
